For matters personal and private, I recently re-watched the 2003 Disney Channel original movie, formative piece of culture, and seminal text, Eddie’s Million Dollar Cook-Off. It has everything: thinly veiled homophobia. A misogynistic baseball coach. “It’s not my dream, dad, it’s yours.” A Bobby Flay cameo. And, most crucially, not one but two expertly, dynamically filmed food fights. My compliments to the director.
